Go Texan day marks the start of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show. I find it odd, but it’s a real thing here. And the kids seem to enjoy it, too. I kind of half-ass it, I admit. Jeans and a plaid shirt for Noah (and I didn’t even manage to get a photo of him); jeans, boots and a hat for Maya – all pink, of course. Maya’s school does a whole presentation for Go Texan Day – the kids wear their western-inspired wear (some way better than others, mind you), then at least the pre-K and kindergarten classes do a dance for parents, etc. Neither Sami nor I were able to attend this year, but Martha and Badia did and hopefully I’ll be able to post some photos from that.
