The other day, Maya said to me, “Noah doesn’t talk.” I explained to her that he does (because he does), but that he has conversations a little differently than she does.
I’ve been waiting for this, kind of dreading it, I guess. She’s said things before about Noah not walking, and she’s tried to appropriate his walker, wheelchair and canes, but this is the first time she has addressed the fact that he’s “different” head on. It will happen again, no doubt. Repeatedly, I’m sure. I hope that Sami and I find the right way to explain things to her to help her understand. One question at a time, I guess.
