Valentina celebrated her 6th birthday with lunch at the American Girl Bistro with friends, then a train ride in the mall. They had a fabulous time! Happy Birthday, Valentina!
We’ve been fortunate to have been invited to a neighbor’s house the last few years for Cookies and Hot Chocolate with Santa. They have a lovely backdrop set up and a chance for the kids – big and small – to take photos with Santa. These photos have actually been our Christmas card the last few years, which has been nice. Along with the photos with Santa, and the aforementioned cookies and hot chocolate, they have a DJ and some things to keep the kids entertained while they wait to meet the big guy.
My favorite reindeer and elf.
I can’t believe Maya is already a 1st Grader! She’s in 1B, Ms. Batla’s class. We’re really excited about all the things she will learn in 1st grade!
Noah attended a week -long sleep-away camp – Camp Smiles with Easter Seals – at Camp For All. Camp For All is an accessible camp about an hour and a half from here, and each July, Easter Seals has their camp for people with CP called Camp Smiles. Each camper has a dedicated volunteer who stays with them throughout the week. We were really nervous about Noah going – I mean, come on, he’s 8 and leaving us for an entire week! – but the fact that we got to know his volunteer Sarah and that his PM&R doctor is the camp doctor made us a little more comfortable. It also helps that we went for a weekend last year and are familiar with the facilities.
Daddy needs to look pretty too.
