I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the movie Dude, Where’s My Car? Seann William Scott, Ashton Kutcher – after a night of debauchery, they spend the next day reconstructing what they did while, you guessed it, looking for their car. It is a terrible movie. I love it.
There’s a scene in the movie where the guys are at a drive-thru for a Chinese restaurant. They place their order, and the person taking it keeps saying “and then?” every time they finish. They keep responding “no ‘and then!’.” It’s totally dumb, so – again – I love it.
What is the point of discussing this horrible movie, you ask? For whatever reason, I decided to teach Noah “no ‘and then?’!” He asks me, “and then?” and I respond, “no ‘and then?’!” He laughs hysterically every time.
If it was just a one time thing, that would have been funny enough. But no, my little Noah has a much better memory than that. Randomly, he’ll look at me and say, “and then?” Sami and I just can’t stop laughing every time he does it. Now, it does make me think that I need to be careful about what I decide to teach him, because it seems we’ll be hearing a lot of it!
